Who we are

Solar Christmas (solar-christmas.shop) is operated by Square Sides, the data controller for this site. Contact us through our contact form.

What we collect

• Analytics. We do not currently run Google Analytics on this site.We do not use advertising cookies.
• Hosting. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site, and provides cookie-free Web Analytics.
• Contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name (optional), email address and message by email, and keep them only to reply and to fix any issue you report. A one-way hash of your IP address is held for one hour to limit spam.

We have no user accounts, take no payments and never sell personal data.

Cookies

• Necessary: remembers your cookie choice.
• Analytics (optional where consent is required): Google Analytics cookies named _ga and _ga_*.
• Partner cookies: when you click through to a retailer such as eBay, that retailer may set its own cookies to track the referral. Their privacy policies apply.

Legal bases

We rely on consent for analytics in the UK, EU and Switzerland, and on legitimate interests elsewhere and for security logs.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (UK) or your local data protection authority (EU).

Retention

Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with them.
